Today's Science Lesson: Prandtl-Glauert Singularity
So what is it? "The Prandtl-Glauert singularity, at which point a sudden drop in air pressure occurs, is generally accepted as the cause of the visible condensation cloud that often surrounds an airplane traveling at transonic speeds..." (source: Wikipedia). If you didn't understand that, understand this. Fighter jets go reeeeaaally fast. So fast that they create their own clouds. And it looks SWEET. Check them out in this gallery!
